Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones we use on Ziricote, and how to manage them. For the processing of personal data, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device to make it work or to collect information. They are distinguished into:
- Technical/essential cookies: necessary for the operation of the Service; they do not require consent.
- Analytical/statistical cookies: they collect information on the use of the Service; they are installed only subject to the user's prior consent.
2. Cookies and technologies used
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Controller/Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
session | Technical essential | Keeps the user authenticated (signed session token, httpOnly) | 30 days | Ziricote |
ph_* / posthog | Analytical | Usage statistics and improvement of the Service; installed only subject to the user's prior consent | up to 12 months | PostHog |
In the mobile app no browser cookies are used; the same analytical purposes are achieved through the PostHog SDK and a local identifier stored on the device, also activated only subject to prior consent.
3. Legal basis
- Technical cookies are used on the basis of the legitimate interest in providing a functioning and secure Service (art. 6.1.f GDPR) and do not require consent.
- Analytical cookies are used exclusively subject to the user's consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), revocable at any time.
4. How to manage cookies
- On first access, you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the dedicated banner. Analytical cookies are not installed until the user gives their consent.
- You can change your preferences or withdraw your consent at any time directly from the Service, through the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, which reopens the preferences panel. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.
- Alternatively, you can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may impair the operation of the Service (e.g. access to the account).
- For the app, you can withdraw consent or limit tracking from the app and device/operating system settings.
5. Updates
